Hi there!

My name is Julia. If you're reading this, I've graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and a Minor in Writing.
A lot of people are surprised by my dual passions for science and writing. But both of these pursuits allow me to approach the world from a standpoint of curiosity and active questioning. Both challenge me to try to answer those questions in thoughtful, novel ways. And both empower me to tell stories about what it means to be alive.

Outside of my academic passions, I also love spending time outside with my dog - Peanut - and being a couch potato with my cat - Moxie. When I'm craving an active life, I like to go running, hiking, biking, kayaking, or dancing for a night on the town. And when I'm feeling more sedentary, there's nothing better than curling up with a good book and cup of tea, watching a movie with some popcorn, or binging a show and some ice cream.

In the spirit of billy barr's list of rom-com recommendations, I've included a few music, podcast, and movie/tv recommendations of my own below.
