A safe space to acknowledge political shortcomings and move forward

This is a website where people can anonymously post their “bad citizen” confessions and read the confessions of others. To be clear, this is not a website to promote political inaction. In fact, it is quite the opposite.

The driving idea behind this website is to create a space where people can humorously acknowledge their past political shortcomings. The hope is that by doing so they can move on from those experiences without internalizing feelings of guilt and shame that could come to dominate their political identity. Through this website, people can also find solace in the fact that they aren’t the only one in this increasingly “woke” society to have stayed on the sidelines of democracy at one time or another. Ideally, after drawing people in based on entertainment, this website will also pose thought-provoking questions to spark conversations about what it truly means to be a “good citizen” in today’s America.
